Heavy Load are a punk band made up of Southdown service users and staff. They are also the stars of the award winning documentary feature film ‘Heavy Load’.
"Their version of Kylie’s ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ is frankly awesome!" (Mark Kermode, BBC Film 24).
Their 'gigs' have seen them travel as far as New York and last year they played the Dada Stage at Glastonbury 2009.
2010 sees them touring Scotland and playing dates all over the UK as well as Germany and Denmark.
Heavy Load provided the theme tune for Channel 4's 2009 hit drama series "Cast Offs" and were described by the The Sunday Times Style Magazine as: "The most important punk band playing in the UK today."
They are currently working on their third album.
